Francesco Ieriti's company "Italian Cooking Classes in Rome" made over €2,000 of unauthorised charges to my card

This page outlines my experience booking a cooking class with Italian Cooking Classes in Rome. I am sharing these details to inform others and encourage caution when booking.

What happened:

  1. I booked a gluten-free cooking class on their website and emailed to confirm dietary requirements as directed by their website.
  2. I was told after booking that I should have emailed before booking, though this was not stated on the website.
  3. I requested a refund but company stopped responding to emails and ignored my calls.
  4. Left a negative review and informed the company.
  5. I received an unauthorised charge of €200 after posting the review.
  6. Francesco threatened that he would charge my card more money unless the review was removed.
  7. Contacted my bank, who refunded the charge and blocked further payments.
  8. Several further attempts were made by the company to charge my card, including one for €2,000, all blocked by my bank.
